I'm Dash, a British creative technologist and maker based in Singapore.

I discovered underground electronic music as a teenager. Listening led to DJing, DJing led to producing, and producing made me want to know how the equipment actually worked. That's partly how I ended up studying engineering at university. Along the way I built amplifiers, a synthesiser, a stereo compressor and some modular gear, most of which worked.

I then spent nearly twenty years at Google, mostly in partnerships across Europe and Asia. I helped products like Maps and Android reach a lot of people, and I learned a great deal about getting ambitious things done with other people. Music and making carried on at the edges, usually late at night.

These days they're closer to the centre. I design and 3D print light sculptures, write code, and experiment with microcontrollers and TouchDesigner. I'm interested in how sound, light and movement can respond to the people in a space, and especially to several people at once.

This site is where I keep the work, finished or otherwise.
